Frequently asked questions
Why is there a 6 passenger limit?
The actual boat capacity is 10 people, however due to Coast Guard regulations, we're only allowed to carry 6 paying passengers. Have a bigger party? Give us a call!
Where do you operate?
We operate throughout Anna Maria Island, St. Pete, Sarasota & Bradenton. Our typical stops include local favorites like Egmont Key, Passage Key, Shell Key, Jewfish Key, Bride Street (Anna Maria Island) and many others!
Boarding/Departure takes place at Riviera Dunes Marina (102 Riviera Dunes Way, Palmetto, FL 34221).
Will we share the boat with other parties?
No way! Your charter is exclusively for you and your guests. We pride ourselves on offering private, upscale experiences—no shared rides here.
Will we see dolphins or manatee?
We often encounter bottlenose dolphins and, occasionally, manatees during our charters. While we can’t promise sightings (they are wild creatures, after all), we know their favorite hangouts.
How far in advance should I book?
During peak times (March, April, June, July) and holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, and holiday weekends), it’s wise to book as early as possible. We also suggest scheduling your charter early in your vacation. That way, if weather throws a wrench in your plans, we have flexibility to reschedule.
Is there a bathroom on board?
Yes! Our 320 Sea Ray Sundancer features a bathroom with running water down in the cabin.
What should we bring?
Bring yourself, a bathing suit, and nothing else—we’ve got sunscreen, towels, and good vibes covered!
What's the standard tip for the crew?
Our crew is prepped to make your day unforgettable. If they knock it out of the park (spoiler: they will), tipping is always appreciated—20% is customary.
What other features does the boat offer?
The "Chubby Mermaid" features a wet bar (running water) in the cockpit, 2 refrigerators, A/C both in the cockpit and in the cabin, a full galley, sleeping berths for 5, and lots of storage for water toys & games!
What if the weather doesn't cooperate or I need to cancel?
If you book a charter and we must cancel due to inclement weather, we will try to reschedule your charter to another date/time. If we are not able to reschedule, then a full refund will be issued. Cancellation examples include high winds (over 20mph), colder temps (below 55 degrees) and high rain chances (over 80%).
If you need to cancel your boat charter due to any reason, we need at least a 72 hour notice in order to provide a refund.
When should we arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes early, ready to go!
What if we're running late?
Give us a heads-up if you’re delayed. We’ll try to extend your time on the water, but we can’t guarantee it.
